The launch of a four-day working week
We are pleased to announce the launch of a four-day working week pilot programme, giving eligible employees the opportunity to work reduced hours while maintaining their full salary.
Commencing on 7 September 2026, the initiative reflects our firm’s commitment to employee wellbeing, work-life balance and creating a modern workplace that supports both personal and professional success.
A New Approach to Flexible Working
Under the pilot programme, eligible employees will work a four-day week with no reduction in pay. The initial pilot will run for six months, providing our firm with an opportunity to assess how the new way of working impacts productivity, employee engagement, client service and overall business performance.
The programme is designed to explore whether a more flexible approach to working can benefit both our people and our clients, while maintaining the high standards of service that we are known for.
We will regularly review the pilot throughout the six-month period and reserve the right to bring the programme to an earlier end if it has a detrimental impact on productivity, employee engagement, client service or overall business performance.
Supporting Our People
The decision to introduce the pilot reflects our belief that employee wellbeing and professional success go hand in hand.
The Directors, Eileen Sutton, Georgette Russell and Ross Hamilton, said:
“We are excited to introduce this four-day working week pilot and explore new ways of working that benefit both our employees and our clients. We recognise that a healthy work-life balance is essential for wellbeing, motivation and long-term success.
“By maintaining full salaries while reducing working hours, we hope to create a working environment where our team can thrive while continuing to deliver exceptional service. We are hoping that we can all work together to make it a success.”
Measuring the Impact
The six-month pilot will provide an opportunity for us to carefully evaluate the benefits and challenges of a four-day working week.
Throughout the programme, the firm will monitor key performance indicators and gather feedback from employees and clients. This will help assess the initiative across a range of areas, including:
- Employee wellbeing and engagement
- Productivity and efficiency
- Client experience and service levels
- Staff retention and recruitment
- Overall business performance
The feedback gathered during the pilot will help inform our approach to flexible working in the future.
Looking Towards the Future
Flexible working continues to evolve, with organisations exploring new approaches to help employees achieve a healthier balance between their professional and personal lives.
We recognise the importance of adapting to the changing needs of our workforce while ensuring that our clients remain at the heart of everything we do.
The four-day working week pilot represents another step in our commitment to innovation, continuous improvement and creating a positive workplace culture.
We look forward to working together as a team to make the pilot a success and to learning from the experience over the coming months.
